Session 11: The Odd Boyz Report

General Summary

Having earned the trust of the Keepers of the Feather, the group heads back towards Vallaki with a shipement of wine in tow. They arrive in time for the Festival of the Burning sun in time to provide Urwin with the details of their ventures, including the impactful information that his father, Davian, trusts the group enough to divulge their lycanthropic secret, as well as the history of their order. 
During the festival, the party spends some time shopping with a Vistani caravan who offer a variety of exotic elixirs, items and potions from far away lands beyond the Barovian fog. The climax of the festival occured when a parade of Vallakian children lead the Burgomaster and his wife to the town square, a 10ft wicker sphere hoisted high. As the burgomeister approached the sphere to set it alight, winds and rain snuffed out the flame. A single laugh is heard from the crowd, throwing the burgomeister into a rage before a hord of bats decended from the sky. The voice of Strahd could be heard by all; laughing, and mocking the burgomeisters motto of "all will be well". The bats scatter, leaving the townsquare empty and the burgomeister frantically cursing the air. The group help light the sphere, despite the crowd having dispersed, in an attempt to appease the burgomeister.
The group makes a brief stop at the Blue Water Inn to speak with Davian with a request for information about their next destination, Argynvostholt. In addition to recounting rumours about the history of the compound, he gifts the group with a raven companion capable of scouting and the potential for learning addtional simple commands. In order to better communicate with other members of their order when refering to the group, Davian requests a name that can be refered to as in messages. After a moment of discussion, the Odd Boyz leave the Inn behind and set out for Argynvostholt.
At the west gate of Vallaki, a messenger approaches the Odd Boyz. Requesting the visit Lady Wachter upon their return to discuss the antics of the burgomeister. With that, the Odd Boyz leave Vallaki behind
