Frontier Session 19

General Summary

Session 19: 08-03-2025

The party and their forces have cleared out the southern guard tower. They decide to take the Ornithopter and attack the guard tower to the north.

On the approach they see smoke coming from the tower and Suicu goes in for a closer look. He sees that the large doors have been ripped off the wall and eviscerated bodies are strewn across the courtyard. There are large tracks of a massive creature leading into the structure. The others land on the top of the building and explore inside finding that anything valuable has been packed up and taken in an orderly fashion.

Outside they find some fresh humanoid tracks leading away from the tower. They determine that the remaining soldiers have evacuated and are on the way back to town. Jock tries to chase them down but gets lost and ends up at a homestead. Meanwhile Hiron and Glee inspect the ornithopter to figure out how it works. Suicu flies after the creature and finds it marching up into a mountain pass 4 hours to the west.

They regroup and decide to go back to the other guard tower to prepare for an ambush. Positioning for the attack they have the pilot call back to the airship for support and they decide to sent the large ornithopter with a repair crew and escort. Arriving in only an hour the party and their force rush back to the tower to intercept the 'copter.

The large ornithopter lands and engineers disembark from the craft with 4 soldiers. They speak to the pilots and one of the soldiers go to the gate guards. Noticing the soldiers are pretenders they cry alarm and are immediately attacked by the hidden Thri-Kreen and Glee. The soldiers surrender and one runs off to be captured by the awaiting forces in the woods.

Suicu teleports inside and takes Jock with him. In the cockpit they quickly knock out the pilot and tie him up. Suicu opens the door to the cargo bay and sees more soldiers and challenges them to surrender. A fight starts out.
