Frontier Session 32

General Summary

Session 32: 03-11-2025

The party starts at the entry way after resting overnight. Having learned the password "Monkeyballs" that will open the portal to the basement area of the structure. They set off to the back to the library and open the portal.

They see a portal open into a basement filled with broken cupboards and bookcases. In the corner is an iron bound chest with intricate lock which Suicu tries to open but it seems to resist his lock picking skills. Cautiously they creep down the corridor checking for traps but don't find any danger. Eventually they get into a large room with a stone face in the center, a bronze door with an inscription "Here lie the greatest heroes".

Jock and Suicu find a staircase in a corner and move up but find the stairs has fallen in. Jock with his small form can walk through the rubble and discovers a secret door leading back to the library. He goes back down through the portal and the others head off to the bronze door.

Knocking on the bronze door it asks "What gift do you bring for the heroes of ages?" and the door opens. Inside the find four tombs and Hiron inspects them and notices that the emblem of the Empire of Mori and the dragon of the Kingdom of Therassia is present on the statue. A book is set on an altar in front of the tombs with a book on it. Hiron and Suicu notice that its written in a mocking tone and name the dead as 'The Fool Dragon', 'The Jester of Limbo', 'The Demon Who Could Not' and 'The Servant of Order'... The door has closed behind them and the tombs start to open.

Suicu notices from the clothes of each revenant corresponds to the colours of the great powers of the world, The Fool Dragon in the red and gold of the Kingdom of Therassia, The Jester of Limbo in the black and white of the Confederacy of Vec, The Demon Who Could Not in purple and red that he doesn't recognise, and the black and gold of the Empire of Mori on the Servant of Order.

The battle against the undead creatures was hard but they finally go down after Hiron notices their rings was powering them. Jock identifies the rings as a key to another teleportation circle. They decide to rest in the room and heal their wounds before going further.. In their sleep or trances they're visited by great figures who tell them they must repair the Threads of Fate while a golden thread connects them to the creature. In the morning after comparing their stories they find that something doesn't add up and suspect some creature is trying to influence them.

They open the next portal and go into a room bathed in in multicoloured light with strange purple crystals growing out of the walls. On the ground are five glowing runic circles with three corpses on the floor.
