Frontier Session 3 Report

General Summary

Session 3: 14-07-2024

The party returns after fighting a tribe of lizards in a lost overgrown broken structure. Having recovered their strength after resting in the guest quarters they head out to the next site marked by the scouts. They encounter a flock of flying snakes during the journey but they quickly dispatch the beasts.

Siucu explores the ruins from the air in his raven form and doesn't notice any creatures nearby. The party cautiously moves in and investigates the ruins and a strange basin of water in it's center. They notice that the water seems to move slowly and Jock throws in a stick to test if it'll sink. Once it moves into the center it starts to sink. But suddenly a massive creature jumps out of the pool and surprises the adventurers!

Now faced by a massive lizard creature with long claws and thick scales the party fights for their lives. It manages to jump up and severely injure Siucu and Glee get knocked unconscious by the beast. Enraged Jock uses his innate wild magic to teleport on it's back and starts stabbing and hacking at it's neck. Glee manages to shake off the injury and get's back up and finishes off the monster by gutting it under it's rib cage.

Searching the ruins reveals more of the mysterious ancient language and gets copied down by Glee. Jock jumps in the strange pool with a quickly built gadget from Glee to provide him with light. He goes all the way down to the bottom and finds another strange disc embedded in the stone. He pries it loose and takes it to the surface.

The party decides to march towards the last site to investigate. They find a strange cube floating above a marsh and it seems it doesn't weigh anything. Tying ropes around it they drag it with them back to town.
