Silverwing chicks are the size of a human head, their wings too small to fly more than very short bursts. Their feathers are stone grey to hide from predators. They tend to be extremely shy and scared of open places. If they are not with someone they trust they will attack anyone who comes too close.
They only tend to bond with those it meets within the first 4 hours of its life. Because of this those who want to tame a Silverwing spend all their time with the egg till it hatches to esthablish a connection.
