Wondrous Item
Uncommon
History.
This coin-like token is forged from a soft, grey, iron-like magical alloy known as
thundermetal, mined deep within the earth and refined by expert dwarven craftsmen. One side bears the image of a bat mid-flight, its wings subtly carved with arcane sigils. The other side shows faint ripple patterns, reminiscent of sound waves through stone.
The Echo-Coin is engraved with a delicate weave of divination and evocation magic, mimicking the natural echolocation of subterranean creatures. It is a favorite tool of scouts, spelunkers, and those who must navigate the darkness without light or trust.
Usage
As an action, you can crush the Echo-Coin in your hand, destroying it and activating its magic. When you do, a powerful sonic pulse erupts from you in all directions, audible out to 300 feet. The pulse harmlessly passes through solid matter but reverberates off creatures and objects not behind total cover.
Until the end of your next turn, you gain the following benefits:
You are aware of the exact location of all creatures and objects within 120 feet. range, as long as they are not behind total cover or magically hidden. This acts like a form of blindsight.
You can "see" through magical darkness and are not blinded by normal or magical effects related to light or sight.
