Fungus Spores, Eisliesen Fungus

Poison

Varies

A creature subjected to these spores must succeed on a DC 10 Constitution Saving Throw or take 3d6 Poison Damage and gain the poisoned condition for 1d12 hours. Unless the Poisoned condition is removed, the effected creature gains 1 level of exhaustion for every 2 hours that pass, and dies at the end of that time, sprouting 2d4 Tiny Gas Spore Fungi (Eisliesen Fungus) (each with 1 Hit Point). After 2d6 days, they become Large and have 13 Hit Points.

Hazy grey and purple spores sit at the bottom of this glass vial. Eisliesen Fungus is a mushroom native to the The UnderSea that spreads by quickly infecting the lungs of a suitable host, and rapidly colonizing the creature's body, killing them once fully colonized. It's gaseous spores are extremely dangerous, though many seasoned adventurers have hearty enough bodies to fight the fungal infection. Named after the Drow word for "killer", many drow fungalmancers and spore druids aid roaming clans and ships through dangerous fungal cavers to prevent the deadly Eisliesen fungus from spreading.
