Backstory

Terme is a small young fey, just 2ft tall, 17 lbs, and 23 years since sprouting in a west Varisian forest. More noticeable than the light woody bronze skin, brown hair, and green eyes, are numerous mistletoe sprouts about their body, including not only leaves on their body and sprigs in their hair, but fibrous vine-laced wings expanding greater than their body size to allow flight.


Terme wears a cestus and leathery clothes, with possible glints of shiny armor underneath, and appears not just lithe and androgynous but completely genderless, with a distinct earthy smell and a woody countenance less attractive than many fey. Their voice is high-pitched and light.


Terme had minimal education per se, having gone directly from seedling to tender of trees and forest things with little previous humanoid contact. Still, there's plenty to learn in the forest and they're bright enough to pick up things when needed. So far their life had been all about protecting trees, but being inquisitive, distractable, and flighty, it was inevitable they would investigate settlements once stumbling upon them.
Exploring towns led to learning more about people and their fascinating if perhaps weird activities. They discovered that some of what they'd been doing for years in the forest was being called adventuring, so they're seeing where else that leads.
