Description
This functions similar to disguise self, except it can only alter the appearance of the creature's apparel, as well as their current state of injury. For example, it can be used to make an injured creature to appear to be wearing heavy armor at full health, or a heavily armored target appear to be wearing simple clothes and badly injured, but cannot be used to alter the creature's apparent race, shape, etc.
Whenever an attack would miss the creature, the creature may choose to have the illusion be altered as though the attack had hit them. The illusion alters appropriately, altering the creature's appearance as well as making them recoil and react to the damage realistically. The attacker gets a Will save to disbelieve the effect, but only when the ability is used to change appearance.
When the creature is struck by an attack or damaged by an ability, they may choose whether the illusion adjusts to the damage. If they choose to have the illusion not adjust, the attacking creature receives a Will save to disbelieve the effect.
