Aboleth Mucus Dose

Poison

Varies Transmutation

This dose of Aboleth Mucus does the following.

A creature that touches the aboleth Mucus must make a DC 14 Constitution saving throw. On a failure, the creature is diseased for 1d4 hours. The diseased creature can breathe only underwater.

When this dose is poured into water as an action, it quickly fills and suspends in a 10 foot cube of space within water, starting at the location you pour, any creature within this cube is subject to the mucus' effects as stated above.

This dull grey green mucus contained within a ceramic or glass phial is a thick and viscus goo sourced from Aboleths (Aboleth 5.5e). Touching it with skin or flesh causes the body of most creatures to transform in a sudden fashion, resulting in the infected to grow gills and their lungs only being able to breath water. Aboleths are an extremely rare creature originating from outside of heavenly body, and as such Aboleth mucus is very rare.

Aboleth mucus can be an alternative base ingredient to potions of water breathing.
