Lying In Wait: Achromak Trolls are treated as invisible if they take the action to hide and do not move in an environment where their form would be obscured. Foliage, debris, dense fog or any form of medium to heavy obscurement count towards this ability.

Achromak Trolls skulk through the night, stealing people and resources away for their own esoteric purposes. They are walking emanators of the influence of the Shadowfell and their aura is undeniable. To be near an Achromak Troll is unmistakable as the world itself around them is reduced to black, white and fleeting shades of grey. It penetrates walls, land features and even passes through magical barriers not specifically designed to resist it. A lit torch will appear almost entirely white and the skin, clothing and features of anyone will appear devoid of even the smallest scrap of colorful pigmentation. Paired with their nocturnal tendencies, finding oneself assailed or surrounded it all too easy. As the night seems darker when an Achromak Troll is near.   Achromak Trolls appear almost human from a distance. Smaller than their cousins and usually in groups of two to five members. If one was unable to notice their aura and only look upon their appearance up close they'd see just how far they deviate from anything approaching human. Their bodies are devoid of complex pigmentation. With a middling grey skin and hunched appearances. Black hair frames a long face, dominated by an equally large nose that is one of the main features they can be identified by. Standing out from even their troll like nose and spade-head shaped faces. Their eyes are entirely white and aggressively reflect light when it is shown upon them. Even from great distances, and even outside the range of their achromatic aura, their eyes are able to reflect and throw back light, exposing their position and their numbers. To see several sets of stark white eyes reflecting from the tree line is a new fear burned into the mind of any traveling merchant, traveler or adventurer.   An Achromak Troll will often be described as a "shaggy old man" if seen alone or in the dark, or a hunched human wearing many furs or rags upon them. Their heads lean forwards on their bodies giving that lower appearance. They have been known to speak common, even do it well but often speak in an eclectic form of Giantspeech that may be difficult even for their cousins to understand. Their movements are often slow and measured, and they are notably more reserved than their brutish cousins from the prime material plane. Acting more like Goblins in how willing they are to move quietly through pitch black nights, sneaking up on unsuspecting travelers with blade in hand. These smaller giantkin are practiced in the methods of stealthy killing and vanishing into the dark without a sound. Their reputation often precedes them as individuals will speak of friends or relatives snatched up with one hand covering their mouths and the other hand sinking a dagger into a soft part to guarantee a quiet act of murder.     The Despised Folk: Achromal Trolls, perhaps out of a misgiving about their own Shadow wrought situation and perhaps out of a competition for resources, have an utter disdain for the goblinoid races. They are frequent targets of the Achromak Trolls and many will prefer to predate on the greenskins before humans purely out of spite. Finding goblin settlements however large or small, accosted or compltely wiped out by Achromak Trolls is common. Rarely will they show signs of open conflict however, sentinels and guards disappeared in the night, stolen resources and slaughtered livestock are the norm and speak to the tactics of the Achromak Trolls.
