(Real world: Gladius) The Korinthosi term for a double-sided arming sword also known as a spathi or, to Mender-speakers, a spader. This particular style of spatherus, wih a distinct triangular blade, is native to Nikea, for the wide blades that make perfect canvases for engraving.
