The magician initiates a contest with another creature where each side is psychically locked in struggle and determined to get what it wants and neither side is able to to yield or compromise
In a blazing moment that is drawn out to the combatants but is instant to any onlookers, the magician and the target make opposed DC intelligence savings throws. This continues until either the magician or the target loses three times, and becomes the loser in the test of wills.
The next opportunity that the loser can move, they move to a maximum of 30" from the victor (but never through a space that would provoke an AOO or any other space that may cause harm) and sits down facing away from the victor for a period of time in turns equal to 2x the victor's proficiency bonus.
The loser is considered prone and will take no action. If the loser takes damage from an enemy during this time it is released from the effects of the Test of Wills and can act s normal.
At higher levels: When cast using a 6th level spell slot, the magician may cease the contest of wills at any time prior to losing three opposed DC intelligence savings throws, and neither party is a victor or loser.
When cast using a 7th level spell slot, if the magician loses the contest of wills, ze suffers no negative effects from the loss.
