Summoning dark energy from the Great Beyond, this 11th level spell spell steals the Life Force from all enemies within 120".
Any creature that enters the area of effect or starts its turn within the area of effect must make a DC constitution savings throw or take necrotic damage of the d8x magician's proficiency and is affected by the drained condition. On a successful savings throw, an enemy takes half necrotic damage and is not affected by the drained condition.
The life force drained by the necromancer returns in the form of temporary hit points. Each failed savings throw gives the necromancer temporary hit points equal to the creature's proficiency bonus, with none being gathered when a save is successful.
Unlike other types of temporary hit points, the total temporary hit points possessed by the necromancer can be added to each round, to a maximum of 50% of the necromancer's current hit point maximum.
The magician has advantage on any concentration checks while Life Force is in play.
