I call myself an author in progress because I've been writing seriously for over a decade now, but have not as yet made my stories public. I'd intended to do so last year... but then I realized shortly before I planned to put up my first novel that my series wanted to be a serial instead. Which is mostly back-end structural stuff, but also foundational, as in, it's the foundation of how the story is presented. Which for me, means that it's far easier to start writing the story again from scratch — which I also think makes the story just work better. So I've archived all previous work, beginning again with only what's managed to stay in my brain. It feels like I finally got the last major component right, and I am so excited to get to tell this story again.
